There should be no reward-earning cap on the best credit card for large purchases. With the credit cards listed below, you may maximize your returns on large purchases. Do you need to furnish a new home or pay for a wedding? Don’t be concerned. The finest credit cards for large expenditures in Singapore can help you get the most out of every dollar you spend. We tell you about the best big purchase credit cards in Singapore

With rising living costs in the background, it only makes sense to do everything you can to make your money work harder for you, even when it comes to spending money.

How can I maximize my credit card benefits on large purchases?

Apart from determining whether you want to earn cashback, air miles, or rewards points on your big-ticket purchases, it’s critical that your credit card of choice doesn’t limit your ability to earn those rewards. This entails selecting credit cards with no earning limit.

In case you didn’t know, some credit cards offer amazing rewards rates, but there are limits to how much you may earn. The HSBC Revolution Credit Card is a fantastic example. This rewards card allows you to earn 10X points (i.e. 4mpd), which is fantastic but only on the first S$1,000 qualified expenditure every month.

CIMB World Mastercard

If luxury items and dining are on your monthly shopping list, the CIMB World Mastercard is a wonderful option. There is no cap on how much cashback you can earn, however, keep in mind the minimum spend requirement! The other four credit cards described above are simple and basic, with no cap and no minimum expenditure.

UOB Absolute Cashback Card or American Express True Cashback

Consider the UOB Absolute Cashback Card or the American Express True Cashback if you prefer something that offers cashback on everything, including insurance premiums, school fees, medical bills, utilities, and mobile wallet top-ups (i.e. typically disallowed transactions). The UOB One Credit Card, which is already renowned as one of the top cashback credit cards on the market, includes a 3-tier spend structure that rewards the cardholder with three tiers of cashback.

Cardholders can earn up to 3.33 percent cashback for each eligible quarter if they spend S$500 or S$1,000 per month on 5 or more purchases. This results in a quarterly payback of S$50 or S$100, depending on the amount. Those who spend $2,000 per month on 5 or more items receive a maximum of 5% cashback for each qualifying quarter, for a total quarterly cashback of S$300.

Maybank Platinum Visa Card

With up to 3.33 percent cashback on local transactions, including CardUp payments, the cashback earned on the Maybank Platinum Visa Card will be sent to your bill automatically. The minimum monthly spend and cashback are calculated quarterly, like with the UOB ONE Card. Simply charge a minimum of S$300 per quarter to qualify.
