Spend the extra money on the add-on plan to get the most out of this pricy house insurance policy. As far as home insurance policies go, the Allied World Home Protector 360 is on par with the best. The Allied World home insurance provides comprehensive benefits that homeowners, landlords, and tenants would appreciate – but there’s a catch.

Allied World Home Insurance Features

The base plan, without add-ons, is a basic

Only property owners wishing to defend their properties against prevalent dangers are likely to find it useful. When you apply the add-ons, Allied World Home Protector 360 begins to shine and live up to its name. The basic plan is basic, but add-ons increase utility tenfold. Allied World Protector 360 is a house insurance plan that comes in two tiers: standard and add-on. Each version is divided into three levels.

The basic plan provides just minimal protection over a limited set of goods, with advantages that are frequently provided by default in other house insurance plans glaringly absent. Benefits include restoration of personal documents, emergency cash cover, ATM and credit card theft, glass damage, food spoilage, and more. Instead, these (and other) perks are only available if you choose the add-on plan. Even at the top tier, your premiums would rise by no more than $90. As a result, choosing the add-on plan over the basic plan is far more advantageous. Unless you are very certain that you do not want or require the additional benefits.

Add-ons bring benefits

Allied World’s add-ons cover a wide range of circumstances and concerns that can come from break-ins or property damage, making them extremely useful, if not critical. The idea goes a step further by including previously unseen benefits that homeowners would appreciate. These include, among other things, benefits for home relocation services, damage to third-party stored belongings, house loan protection in the event of accidental death or disability, hospital cash allowance, home cleaning, and mobility enhancement. While these advantages are not unique, it is unusual to have them covered so extensively under a single home insurance policy.

Optional building and content upgrades

The Allied World House Protector 360 plan provides a maximum of $300,000 in-building coverage and $90,000 in contents coverage, which is less than other home insurance plans. These figures almost probably rule out the proposal for large or landed estates, as well as units that have been extensively restored.

It’s a good thing, then, that you can boost your maximum sums insured for structure and contents. You can offer to boost up each benefit by up to $2 million and $1 million upon sign-up. Please keep in mind that it is up to Allied World to accept or reject your top-up proposal.

Personal accident benefits have been expanded to include worldwide coverage

As an Allied World Home Protector 360 policyholder, you can benefit from an expansion of your personal accident benefits to international coverage. This benefit is only available if you choose to include content coverage in your plan. It is essentially free travel insurance for you and your family.

You should be aware that only personal accident benefits are provided, and the policy does not cover things like lost luggage, travel cancellations, illness while abroad, and so on. As a result, you should not consider it a full-fledged travel insurance plan, but rather an additional layer of security.

Who should use Allied World Home Protector 360?

The main attraction of this home insurance plan is its wide suite of add-ons, which includes some perks that are uncommon in other home insurance policies. As a result, if any of these appeal to you, you should consider signing up. Allied World also provides three separate versions for tenants, landlords, and owner-occupiers, with the first two having much lower rates. This indicates a potential saving over other insurers who charge a single rate for all three user segments.
