Every day has been a bit of a fog since working from home became the default in May 2021. What better way to spruce up your days than with a daycation – a vacation without an overnight stay? In this blog, we tell you about daycation hotels in Singapore.

What’s not to love about a day trip that can save you up to 75% off the cost of a hotel stay? And what if you only want the pleasures without the bed, even though your own bed is more comfortable?

Daycation Hotels in Singapore

Singapore Changi Daycation ($100++) at YOTELAIR

If you live in Pioneer, Jurong, Bukit Batok, or Bukit Panjang and want to spend a day doing something fun, YOTELAIR at Jewel Changi is a great option. For $100, you get 6-hour access to an en suite room where you may park after a morning walk and cycle around Changi Village, Changi Chapel and Museum, and other attractions. After a nap and a shower, wake up and check out (at either 2 pm or 4 pm) for a coffee and a wander through Jewel Changi before returning to the west.

Hotel Soloha in Chinatown ($65++)

Hotel Soloha is your finest choice for a daycation date because it is located along Teck Lim Road, just adjacent to the bustling Keong Saik and Jiak Chuan Road areas. Before retiring for a nice shower and snooze, go cafe hopping in the neighbourhood, which includes Bread & Hearth, Leckerbaer, and the old school Keong Saik Bakery. After that, make a reservation for dinner at Potato Head Singapore’s rooftop alfresco eating area for a bird’s eye perspective of this nostalgic neighbourhood.

Fort Canning YWCA Day Trip ($70++)

The YWCA Fort Canning is your best chance for a no-nonsense, value-for-money in-room daycation. You get 7-hour access to the accommodation, swimming pool, poolside deck chairs, a 20% discount on ala carte food purchases, and entrance to the Dhoby Ghaut retail belt for $70. If you’re taking a child, take a leisurely hike up Fort Canning for a picnic and photographs. In addition, there is free coffee, tea, and water in the room.

Day Trip to Hotel Mono ($66++)

For the minimalist in you, this is a fantastic-looking and Instagram-worthy hotel. Hotel Mono appears to be a very upscale package for $66 per night, complete with tea and coffee amenities, high-speed WiFi, soft beds, and a rain shower. The hotel is located on Mosque Street, just a short walk from the Chinatown MRT station and all of the bars and restaurants on Club Street.

Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay Daycation ($89++)

A $89 daycation for a slice of luxury at the Intercontinental is one to consider for a 5-star hotel located along with the posh riverfront Robertson Quay neighborhood. A staycation there costs at least $240 per night, so this 6-hour $89 daycation isn’t exactly cheap.

If luxury is important to you, anticipate a 5-star king-sized bed, tea and coffee amenities, access to the hotel’s pool, and a stunning view of the refurbished Robertson Quayside nightlife strip.

lyf Funan ($85++)

If you like to stay up late, lyf Funan’s 12am to 8am “daycation” package will provide you with complete 8-hour access to the room, the gym, your own room, and free WiFi. Alternatively, lyf Funan offers 4-hour daytime packages with the same gym advantages. But if you’re going to the gym, you’ve already squandered an hour and more than $20. Is it really worth it?

M Social Daytrip ($100+) for Daycation hotels in Singapore

You know, I’ve always wanted to stay at M Social, but I’ve never been able to justify the expensive asking price of around $280 per night and the lack of a bathtub (it’s extremely essential to me, okay!).

But for a daycation package that includes 12-hour access to the accommodation, pool access, and tea and coffee facilities, I might just go ahead and book it! If you enjoy in-room dining as much as I do, choose the $16 set lunch option.

Hotel G ($99++)

If you find most hotels to be uninteresting and basic, Hotel G is a must-see. All of the rooms have old decor, so you can think you’re in another country. Other freebies include free WiFi, tea and coffee, a rain shower, and gym access. Because the package is valid from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., you may choose to add $15 for a set breakfast.
