Are you planning to get yourself a new credit card? One that helps you manage your expenses and have fun at the same time? Singapore’s primary financial institution DBS wants to shake up their monotonous, workaday image. Hence, they have come up with the trendy DBS Live Fresh Card. This credit card is especially meant for millennials.  Read on to find out more about DBS credit cards. It is a cashback credit card that has an appealing design and simple functioning.

Functionality

The DBS Live Fresh Card is a straightforward cashback credit card, but it’s not one that any parents will like. There are no benefits for needs such as grocery shopping, gasoline, or utilities. This card, which is entirely aimed towards millennials, gives a cash reward of up to 5% on online and Visa contactless purchases. Everything else earns 0.3 percent.

The total monthly cashback is capped at $60. Additionally, the cap has three categories: $20 for online spending, $20 for Visa Contactless spending, and $20 for all other spendings. If you can be bothered to game it, there’s an extra 5% cashback (limited to $15 per month) for sustainable spending. And this category includes public transportation, bike/car sharing, and certain F&B and retail establishments.

DBS Live Fresh Card Terms & Conditions

The annual fee stands at $192.60 annual fee and there is a waiver too (waived for 1 year). However, it comes with an additional annual charge of $96.30
and a 25-day interest-free period. The annual interest rate is 26.80%. There is a late payment penalty of $100 if you miss paying your credit card bills on time. The minimum monthly payback is 3% of the loan amount, or $50, whichever is greater.

Who is eligible to use the DBS Live Fresh Card?

If you haven’t guessed it already, the card is for  Gen Z and millennials who rely on the internet to get things done. There are no special incentive rebates for important categories (such as shopping, eating, and so on). But in this day and age, you can pay for everything with a single click or wave, right?

Cardholders can use the 5% cashback on contactless payment methods to receive some rebates while spending on basics. However, keep in mind that cashback is limited to $20. When you use your DBS Live Fresh Card to travel the bus or rail, you can also expect a hassle-free ride.
