Maybank offers some good credit card deals right here in Singapore. The great thing about these cards is that you can shop, click, and check out faster online with Maybank MasterPass. There are cards for high and low spenders, students, and even golfers, and you can choose between cash rebates, miles, or Treat points.  In this blog, we tell you about Maybank credit cards in Singapore

Maybank credit cards in Singapore

Maybank FC Barcelona Card is the best option for high-spending customers

The Maybank FC Barcelona Card could be your ticket into Nou Camp, as well as your ticket to unlimited cashback. It provides 1.6% unlimited cash rebates on all local purchases. This figure may appear insignificant, but unlike most cashback cards, it has no minimum spend and no cashback cap. You can spend as much as you want while still earning rebates – the sky’s the limit.

If you’re a La Liga football fan, you can get a 5% discount at FCBotiga’s official Camp Nou store. Every football season, fans can also win a trip for two to see FC Barcelona live. You can earn 5 chances for every S$50 spent locally, and double that for equivalent foreign spending. While there is no cashback on foreign currency transactions, every foreign dollar spent earns you 2X TREATS points. If you think this is only for Barcelona fans, think again. You could be a Real Madrid fan and still enjoy these benefits.

Maybank Horizon Visa Signature is the best option for miles

If you prefer to avoid the causeway crowds and fly to Malaysia (or anywhere else for that matter), the Maybank Horizon Visa card is the way to go. Earn 3.2 air miles (8X TREATS Points) for every S$1 spent on dining, petrol, taxi fares (ride-hailing is also counted), and Agoda hotel bookings. When you spend S$1 on flights, travel packages, or foreign currency transactions, you will earn 2 miles (5X TREATS points). You will have complimentary access to selected VIP airport lounges as well as complimentary travel insurance coverage up to S$1,000,000.

It’s a simple card with no minimum spend and no reward caps. However, because the stellar rate of 3.2 miles per S$1 applies only to local purchases, it may not be suitable for those who spend extended periods of time abroad. In order to receive complimentary airport lounge access, you must spend a minimum of S$1,000 in a single retail transaction on your card within 3 months of your travel date.

Maybank Family & Friends is the best option for cashback

If you’re a member of Team Cashback, the Maybank Family & Friends card is your best bet. Enjoy a generous 8% cash rebate on a wide range of purchases, including groceries, dining & food delivery, transportation, data communication & online TV screening, retail & pets, online fashion, entertainment, pharmacy, and wellness.

The annual fee is also waived for the first three years, saving you S$540 in annual fees: enough to pay for a buffet feast for you (and your family and friends)! A minimum monthly spend of S$800 per calendar month is required, as is a S$125 cashback cap per month, divided into S$25 per category.

Maybank World Mastercard is ideal for golfers

If your ideal vacation involves more golf than food, the Maybank World Mastercard is one to consider. Enjoy complimentary green fees all year at 98 participating golf clubs in 19 countries with this card, as well as complimentary access to Plaza Premium airport lounges. You will also earn 10X TREATS points per $1 spent (4 miles per dollar) at specially selected retail, dining restaurants, and all petrol stations, which is double that of the Maybank Horizon. Your TREATS points will never expire because you are automatically enrolled in the Rewards Infinite program, where you can redeem them for a variety of dining, shopping, and entertainment gifts.

Gas station? Great. The Corporate Fuel Card offers a 15% discount, as well as 10X TREATS Points on your Maybank World Mastercard. 10X TREATS Points can be redeemed for an additional 4.85% savings on your Corporate Fuel Card in the form of cash credits. Additionally, when converting TREATS Points to air miles, fees are waived. The annual fee is slightly higher than most, and the minimum annual income requirement is $S80,000, which is higher than most.

Maybank Platinum Visa Card is ideal for low-spenders

If you prefer to pay in cash most of the time but still want to earn rewards, the Maybank Platinum Visa card could be a good choice. To qualify for cashback, you must spend a minimum of S$300 per month (or equivalent in foreign currencies). That is significantly less than the typical minimum spend of S$600 to S$800 for other cards. In exchange, you will receive 3.33% cashback, up to S$500,000 in travel insurance coverage, and the convenience of Samsung Pay.

You will benefit from two types of waivers: the three-year annual fee waiver and the S$20 quarterly service fee waiver as long as you charge to the card once every three months. Remember that the cashback cap is set at S$100 per quarter, and only local purchases qualify for the 3.33%.
